Birdwatching + Kayaking Tour

The Limarí River wetland is a location of significant natural interest. Join us on an excursion to explore this Nature Sanctuary, which includes a bird-watching activity and a kayak tour.

Birdwatching + Kayaking Tour

Pick-up begins at your hotel in Ovalle at 9 am, from where we will travel southwest for about one hour to reach the Limarí River wetlands, recognized for its biodiversity. The area is also a biosphere reserve and a stargazing destination.

Upon arrival, a 1.5-hour walk through the nature reserve will commence, aiming to spot native bird species with the help of a bird-watching manual. This will be followed by a hike along the Caleta El Toro river inlet.

After the hike, a break will be taken for a sandwich made from local products. The kayak tour will then follow, lasting 20 minutes, where participants will relax as passengers in canoes while the guide navigates.

Following the kayak tour, we will return to the banks of the Limarí River and drive back to Ovalle, with arrival at your hotel expected by 3 pm.

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels in downtown Ovalle. For those in remote locations, pick-up will occur at the main square at the scheduled time.
