Fray Jorge National Park Tour
We'll pick you up at 8 am at your hotel in Ovalle and head towards the Fray Jorge National Park, located 63 kilometres away. Fray Jorge is the northernmost Valdivian rainforest in Chile. During the tour we'll discover the climatic characteristics that support this ecosystem. We'll visit different areas of the Fray Jorge Forest, walking along trails in this declared Chilean National Park. The protected area is near the Pacific Ocean, where the camanchaca or coastal fog contributes to the ecosystem's flourishing. As we walk through the rainforest, we'll also learn about the origins of this ecosystem, shaped by a group of living organisms called 'biota'. At the end of the tour, we'll return to your hotel in Ovalle, arriving at approximately 2 pm.
Pickup
This activity includes pickup from hotels in the centre of Ovalle. For remote areas, we will pick you up at the specified time at the Plaza de Armas in Ovalle.
