Did you know that Chile has some of the clearest skies in the world? You'll enjoy stargazing at Las Tinajas, an archaeological site in the Hurtado River Valley.

Description

We will pick you up at 8 pm at your hotel in Ovalle. After a 30-minute journey, we will arrive at the archaeological site of Las Tinajas, located 4 km from Samo Alto in the Chilean commune of Río Hurtado. This site hosts cave paintings and petroglyphs from the Molle culture, dating back 2,000 years.

The activity includes a low-difficulty walk of 200 meters. It is divided into two hours, dedicating the first 60 minutes to stargazing, using a powerful telescope for enhanced visibility of the stars. The second hour will feature an astrophotography workshop where participants will capture images of the night sky. We will conclude with a tasting of local products, including goat's cheese and wine.

Afterward, we will return to your hotel in Ovalle, arriving at midnight.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels in central Ovalle. For those staying in remote areas, pickup will be at the Plaza de Armas at the designated time.

Included

  • Hotel pickup and return transfer
  • Transport by minibus or bus
  • Spanish–speaking guide
  • Telescope
  • Photographs of the night sky
