Join us on this bike tour through the wetlands of the Limarí River, known for its diverse birdlife.

Limarí River Wetlands Bike Tour

Pickup will be at the designated time at your hotel in Ovalle, followed by a trip to the Limarí River wetlands, a conservation area for local species. We will begin a two-hour bike tour on a low-difficulty cycling route, covering 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) on flat dirt roads, concluding at Caleta El Toro beach.

Upon reaching the river inlet, a 90-minute walk for bird watching in the wetlands will follow. We will utilize a bird-watching manual to identify various native species in this protected biosphere reserve.

After the walk, participants will enjoy a local product sandwich during a break to learn more about the wetland, noted for its clear skies, making it suitable for stargazing.

Once refreshed, we will return to your hotel in Ovalle, completing the tour in a total of 6 hours.

This activity includes pickup from hotels in downtown Ovalle. For those in remote areas, pickup will be at the scheduled time at the Plaza de Armas in the city center.
