Bike Tour Through the Wetlands of the Limarí River

Your journey begins with a pickup at the predetermined time from your hotel in Ovalle. From there, we will travel towards the Limarí River wetlands, a remarkable sanctuary focused on the preservation of local wildlife.

Upon arrival, our two-hour bike tour will commence. This easy cycling path covers 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) along several flat dirt roads, culminating at the picturesque Caleta El Toro beach. Prepare to be mesmerized by the breathtaking views!

Once we reach the river entrance, we will embark on a 90-minute hike dedicated to bird watching within the Limarí River wetlands. During our stroll in this protected biosphere reserve, we will use a bird-watching guide to identify a variety of native bird species.

Following the hike, we will enjoy a refreshing break featuring a sandwich made with local ingredients. This pause allows us to delve into more aspects of the wetlands, renowned for its exceptional stargazing opportunities thanks to clear skies.

Once we have regained our energy, we will return to your hotel in Ovalle, concluding the experience after approximately 6 hours.

Pickup for this tour is available from hotels in central Ovalle. If your accommodation is located in a more secluded area, we will arrange to meet you at the Plaza de Armas in the city center at the scheduled time.
