Tamaya Hill Hike

We'll pick you up at the indicated time from your hotel in downtown Ovalle and travel to the old mining center of Tamaya, arriving after approximately half an hour. Tamaya was one of the main copper extraction centers in the world, and we'll learn about its history while trekking through this unique area. The hike is medium-difficulty, covering 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) with an elevation gain of around 317 meters (1,040 feet). The effort is rewarded at the 1,180 meters above sea level peak with panoramic views of the coasts, valleys, and mountain ranges of Coquimbo.

During the hike, we'll take a snack break that includes juice, a cereal bar, and cookies. After refueling and enjoying the surroundings, we'll return to the trailhead and finally to your hotel in Ovalle, with a total hiking duration of 4 hours.

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels in downtown Ovalle. If you're staying in remote areas, pickup will be at the scheduled time at Plaza de Armas, the central square of the city.
