Are you a nature lover? You can't miss this Tamaya hill hiking tour - we'll ascend to one of the most outstanding peaks of the Chilean region of Coquimbo and get breathtaking views of the area.

Tamaya Hill Hike

We'll pick you up at the indicated time from your hotel in downtown Ovalle and travel to the old mining center of Tamaya, arriving after approximately half an hour.

Tamaya was one of the main copper extraction centers in the world. We'll learn about its history while embarking on a medium-difficulty 2-kilometer (1.2-mile) hike, gaining approximately 317 meters (1,040 feet). The peak, located at 1,180 meters above sea level, offers panoramic views of the coasts, valleys, and mountain ranges of Coquimbo.

A snack break will include juice, a cereal bar, and some cookies. After resting and enjoying the surroundings, we'll head back down to the trailhead.

We will return to your hotel in Ovalle after a total of 4 hours of hiking.

Hotel Pickup

This activity includes pickup from hotels in downtown Ovalle. If you're staying in more remote areas, we'll pick you up at the scheduled time at Plaza de Armas, the central square of the city.
