Day Trip Details

We will pick you up from the meeting point and head east to visit Covadonga. The trip is by minibus with a maximum of 8 participants. Our first stop will be Ercina Lake, located in Picos de Europa National Park. We will get closer to the lakes without needing to walk long distances and enjoy views from the Entrelagos viewpoint.

Next, we will visit the Holy Cave of Covadonga, home to the image of La Santina and the remains of Don Pelayo, the first king of the Asturian monarchy. After this, we will explore the Basilica of Santa María la Real, a notable example of neo-Romanesque architecture in Spain.

We will then travel to Cangas de Onis, where you will have an hour of free time to experience Asturian gastronomy in local restaurants. Finally, we will visit the Roman Bridge and the Santa Cruz chapel. The tour will conclude with our return to the meeting point after a total of 8 hours.
