Covadonga Small Group Day Trip

Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we will pick you up from the meeting point and head east to visit Covadonga. This trip will be conducted in a minibus for a maximum group of 8 people. We will first visit Ercina Lake in the Picos de Europa National Park, allowing us to get closer to the lakes without long walks. We will stop at the Entrelagos viewpoint for views of the lakes and landscapes.

Next, we will proceed to the Holy Cave of Covadonga, home to the image of La Santina and the remains of Don Pelayo, the first king of the Asturian monarchy. Following our visit, we will go to the Basilica of Santa María la Real, an example of neo-Romanesque architecture in Spain.

After that, we will head to Cangas de Onis, where you will have an hour of free time to enjoy local gastronomy. The tour will conclude with a visit to the Roman Bridge and the Santa Cruz chapel, ending back at the meeting point after 8 hours.
