San Vicente de la Barquera
This seaside village looks out over the Cantabrian Sea, accompanied by its famous castle, the remnants of its city walls, and the Picos de Europa in the background. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Cantabria, thanks to its historical heritage, beautiful views, and the peaceful walks offered by its streets. With the local guide, you can learn about its maritime vocation, the history of the Church of Santa María de los Ángeles—one of the city's main monuments—or the monumental ensemble of the old town of San Vicente, now declared a Cultural Heritage Site.
- 2
Llanes
Our itinerary continues towards Llanes, about half an hour away. This is one of the most chosen summer destinations in Asturias, both for its leisure offer and for the beautiful places that can be visited here. Again following our guide we will learn more about the most important places, its Casino, its tower, from the 13th century, the Palace of the Dukes of Estrada or the Gates of Llanes. There will also be time for well-known spaces such as the “Parres Sobrino” square, which rose to fame with the movie “El Orfanato”, which was shot in Llanes. Here we can enjoy free time to continue exploring a bit on our own, or to return to the places that we liked the most.
- 3
Ribadesella
Our final stop takes us to the village of Ribadesella, another gem of the Asturian coast. Once in the town, we will take a walking tour to feel the sea breeze while listening to the best anecdotes in front of the stately homes of this fishing village. Here, we will also find the iconic Sella River Bridge, the endpoint of the International Descent that is celebrated every August.
