Nora River Hiking Tour

We will meet at the time of your choice in Lugar Priañes to begin the hiking route along the meanders of the Nora River.

The tour starts with a walk to a viewpoint a few minutes from the town center, offering a view of the famous meanders of the Nora River, which illustrate the geological erosion of the area.

Next, we will descend 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) along an old path leading to the access road of the hydroelectric power station on the river Nora, where we can observe this facility that generates energy using water.

The tour continues towards the point where the River Nora meets the Nalón River, following a path carved into the rock amidst a lush forest. We will take a short break here before resuming our walk.

After the break, we will ascend along a path lined with chestnut trees and cross meadows with grazing cattle. Eventually, we will circle back to Priañes park, which features a statue of the notable Asturian actor Arturo Fernández.

The route concludes after two hours of hiking upon returning to the starting point.
