On this hiking route along the meanders of the River Nora we'll enter the riverside forests to enjoy its green landscapes. Welcome to Asturias!

Nora River Hiking Tour

We'll meet at the time of your choice in Lugar Priañes to start this hiking route that will take us along the meanders of the Nora River.

We'll start our way to a viewpoint located a few minutes from the town center. This spot provides a view of the famous meanders of the Nora River, notable for geological erosion.

We'll continue descending 1 kilometre (0.6 miles) along an old path to the access road of the hydroelectric power station. Here, we will observe this small power station that produces energy using water.

Next, we will approach the point where the River Nora meets the Nalón River and follow a beautiful path carved into the rock, surrounded by a lush forest. We will take a short break before continuing our walk.

After the break, we'll walk along an ascending path with chestnut trees and pass through meadows where cattle graze. We will close the circuit, reaching the Priañes park to see a statue of the Asturian actor Arturo Fernández.

We will then return to the starting point, completing the route after two hours of hiking.
