Ponga Natural Park Excursion

At the indicated time, we'll meet you in front of the Oviedo train station and head by minibus to the Natural Park of Ponga, 1 hour 30 minutes away from the city. This area is known as the least densely populated council of Asturias.

During the route through the park, we'll see capercaillies, wolves and deer. In favorable weather, we may observe a European brown bear in its natural habitat.

Weather permitting, our excursion will include visiting the villages of Casielles or Viboli. We'll then proceed to the Les Bedules viewpoint, offering a view of the Picos de Europa eastern massif and the Ponga river valley. Following this, we'll travel down the valley to Sobrefoz, where you will have free time for lunch.

Our last stop will be in Sellaño, to discuss the wildlife of the Ponga Natural Park. Finally, we'll return to the meeting point in Oviedo, arriving nine and a half hours after departure.
