On this day trip to Famagusta from Paphos, we will cross the Green Line to enter the Turkish side of Cyprus and visit the monastery of St. Barnabas, where this apostle's tomb is located.

Description

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Paphos and head to our destination, with a stop at Choirokitia for a coffee break.

We will cross the Green Line and arrive at the monastery of St. Barnabas, the burial site of the apostle. You will visit the museum of the complex, which contains valuable icons and religious relics, as well as the tomb of St. Barnabas.

Next, we will explore the ruins of Salamis, focusing on the amphitheater and gymnasium. Afterward, we will continue to Famagusta.

In Famagusta, we will walk around its Venetian-era walls and view the Gothic architecture of its religious buildings, including the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, constructed in 1312 and now a mosque. You will have free time for lunch and shopping in Famagusta.

Finally, we will return to Paphos, making a stop at the ghost town of Varosi to see its abandoned houses and beach.

We will drop you off back at your hotel in Paphos approximately eleven hours after pickup.
