Embark on a day excursion to Famagusta from Paphos, where you'll cross the Green Line to explore the Turkish territory of Cyprus and visit the revered monastery dedicated to St. Barnabas, the burial site of this esteemed apostle.

Description

We'll meet you at your Paphos hotel at the arranged time to commence our journey. Our first stop will be at Choirokitia, an opportunity to unwind and enjoy a coffee.

Upon crossing the Green Line, we'll arrive at the monastery of St. Barnabas, the resting place of the Cypriot apostle. Here, we'll tour the museum that showcases precious icons and religious artifacts alongside the tomb of St. Barnabas.

We will then proceed to explore the ruins of Salamis, notable for its impressive amphitheater and gymnasium. Following this, our journey will take us to Famagusta.

In Famagusta, we'll stroll along its Venetian-era walls and take in the striking Gothic architecture of its sacred sites, making a stop at the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, originally constructed in 1312 and later transformed into a mosque. Following our exploration, you will have time to enjoy lunch and shop at your leisure in Famagusta.

Our final highlight will be a brief visit to the ghost town of Varosi, where we can observe the deserted structures and the picturesque sandy beach before beginning our return journey to Paphos.
