Balapitiya and Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery Private Trip
At 8:30 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Bentota and set off for Balapitiya, just 9 miles away.
Once there, we will board a boat for a three-and-a-half hour trip on the Madu River. While sailing through the mangrove landscapes, we will explore this complex ecosystem of wetlands, recognized as a World Heritage Site.
We will then stop for lunch in one of the traditional restaurants in the area before heading to Kosgoda.
If you are interested in sea turtles, this is an opportunity to learn about amphibians at the Kosgoda turtle farm conservation project. You will see different species of sea turtles before they are released into the sea.
Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Bentota, arriving at 6:30 pm.
