We will pick you up from your hotel in Bentota at 8:30 am, after which we will head north to Kalutara, just 40 minutes away.

We will arrive at the Kalutara Temple, a significant place of worship for Buddhists and home to the oldest hollow stupa in Sri Lanka. This large structure can be seen from anywhere in the city. Here, you will learn about the sacred Kalutara Bodhiya fig tree and its history.

At Lunuganga, we will explore the estate of Sir Geoffrey Bawa, an influential architect known for his work in Sri Lanka and internationally. The tour will include a look at his gardens and various examples of his architectural talent.
