Kalutara Temple and Lunuganga Estate Private Tour

We will pick you up from your hotel in Bentota at 8:30 am, from where we head north to Kalutara, just 40 minutes away.

We will arrive at the Kalutara temple, a significant place of worship for Buddhists. This temple features the oldest hollow stupa in Sri Lanka and is visible from anywhere in the city. Here, you will learn about the sacred Kalutara Bodhiya fig tree and its history.

After the visit, we will have lunch at one of the city's restaurants before heading to Lunuganga.

The architect Sir Geoffrey Bawa was a notable figure in architecture, both locally and internationally. During our tour of his estate, we will learn about his history and admire his gardens, showcasing his architectural talent.

We will conclude the private tour back at your hotel in Bentota, arriving at 5:30 pm.
