Kalutara Temple and Lunuganga Estate Private Tour
We will pick you up from your hotel in Bentota at 8:30 am and head north to Kalutara, which is 40 minutes away.
We will arrive at the Kalutara temple, an important Buddhist place of worship featuring the oldest hollow stupa in Sri Lanka. This large stupa can be seen from anywhere in the city. You will also discover the sacred Kalutara Bodhiya fig tree and learn about its history.
After the visit, we will have lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to Lunuganga.
Sri Lankan architect Sir Geoffrey Bawa was a pioneer known worldwide. During the tour of his estate, you will learn about his history and admire his gardens, showcasing his architectural talent.
We will conclude the private tour and return to your hotel in Bentota, arriving at 5:30 pm.
