Kalutara Temple and Lunuganga Estate Private Tour
Pickup is at your hotel in Bentota at 8:30 am, followed by a 40-minute drive north to Kalutara.
Upon arrival at the Kalutara Temple, visitors will explore one of the most significant Buddhist worship sites in the country, which features the oldest hollow stupa in Sri Lanka and is visible throughout the city. There, guests will learn about the sacred Kalutara Bodhiya fig tree and its history.
Following the temple visit, lunch will be at a local restaurant before the tour continues to Lunuganga.
Here, guests will learn about the renowned architect Sir Geoffrey Bawa while touring his estate and gardens, showcasing his notable design talents.
