The Elqui Valley in Chile offers optimal conditions for stargazing due to its clear skies.

Elqui Valley Stargazing Activity

We will meet at the designated time on O'Higgins Street in Pisco Elqui. The group will proceed to a location devoid of light pollution to enjoy the sunset view over the Andes.

Then, we will visit the natural observatory of La Isla, situated on the town's outskirts. Participants will utilize a 20-inch telescope to observe planets, clusters, galaxies, and constellations.

The Elqui Valley is known for its exceptionally clear skies, making it ideal for stargazing, free from light pollution.

Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to look through the largest telescope in Pisco Elqui, enriching the stargazing experience. The evening will conclude with a pisco sour cocktail.

After the astronomical observation, transportation will be provided back to the meeting point in Pisco Elqui, with an estimated arrival time of about two and a half hours later.
