Description
Renowned for their exceptional quality, New Zealand wines are gaining recognition globally. For wine enthusiasts visiting Paihia, exploring the Maori country's wine legacy through this Bay of Islands wine experience is an enriching adventure. Let’s embark on this journey!
Your day begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel as we venture towards the historical Fat Pig Vineyard, acknowledged as one of the region's premier wineries. Upon arrival, we will meet the passionate owners, who will guide us through their carefully crafted products. This visit invites us to uncover their techniques, along with the opportunity to sample their exquisite wines!
After savoring these flavors, our next stop will be the Sovrano Estate, a charming family-operated vineyard situated on the outskirts of Kerikeri. Here, we’ll explore their approach to organic farming, with insights from the owners on how to identify the grapes that contribute to their unique wine offerings.
This winery also produces a delightful limoncello, thanks to its rich Italian heritage. After this tantalizing experience, we’ll make our way to our final destination, Marsden Estate, which has been producing wines for over 20 years. At this winery, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a sampling of six different wines alongside a delicious lunch with stunning views of the vineyards and the lake.
Concluding this immersive wine journey, we will return to your hotel in Paihia after an engaging four-hour exploration.
