Bay of Islands Wine Tour

This Bay of Islands wine tour is ideal to discover the wine culture of the North Island of New Zealand. We'll visit three wineries and do several tastings.

Description

New Zealand's wines are gaining acclaim globally. If you are in Paihia and want to explore the Maori country's wine tradition, this tour is suitable for you. We'll begin with a pickup from your hotel and proceed to the Fat Pig Vineyard, one of the oldest wineries in the area. Upon arrival, the owners will show us the produced products and we will have the opportunity to taste their wine.

Next, we will visit Sovrano Estate, a small family-run estate on the outskirts of Kerikeri. Here, we will learn about the organic farming practices and how to differentiate the grapes used in their wines. We will also explore their homemade limoncello.

The final stop is the Marsden Estate, operating for over 20 years, where we will enjoy a tasting of 6 different wines and partake in a lunch overlooking the vineyards and the lake.

After this tour, we will return to your hotel in Paihia, concluding a total of 4 hours of wine touring.
