Delve into the Lacandon jungle and discover its great biodiversity with this excursion to the Aluxes Ecopark in Palenque.

Aluxes Ecopark Trip

After picking you up at 9 am from your hotel in Palenque, we will take you to the Aluxes Ecopark, a rescue centre for the fauna and flora of Chiapas.

We will enter a man-made jungle with more than 10,000 species of trees, rehabilitated wetlands, and a system of lagoons. First, we will visit the manatees and have the opportunity to feed these marine animals.

Afterwards, we will climb a 25-meter-tall tower to observe the various birds in the park, including the scarlet macaw. From the tower, the Mayan archaeological site of Palenque is also visible.

Around 2 pm, you will have an hour of free time for lunch. Following this, we will proceed to the crocodile area where we can observe and feed these predators from a safe distance.

Finally, we will conduct a night tour through the jungle to experience the sounds of Mexican nature. We may encounter monkeys, turtles, anteaters, and possibly a jaguar. During this two-hour tour, we may also see fluorescent mushrooms. Please have your camera ready.

We will end our evening and return you to your hotel in Palenque by 9 pm.
