Your ticket to the archaeological site of Palenque allows exploration of the structures of the ancient Maya city of Lakam Ha', with origins dating back to the 3rd century BC. After several wars, Lakam Ha' was abandoned and forgotten, later rediscovered in the jungle. It serves as an example of Maya urban planning and architecture.

Within the site, notable monuments include the Temple of the Inscriptions, a stepped pyramid standing almost 25 metres (82 feet) high, where the Maya king K'inich Janaab' Pakal was buried. Other temples include the Temple of the Cross, Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Skull, and the Tomb of the Red Queen. At the Great Palace, visitors can see well-preserved reliefs and explore the tower used by priests to observe the sunset, all within a natural jungle setting.
