Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the Palermo Centrale railway station. From here, we'll hop into a train and head to Cefal, kicking off our day trip.
Upon arrival, we will explore the city's heart, visiting the majestic Cathedral of Cefal and its Norman facade. The stunning Byzantine mosaics, particularly the Christ Pantokrator, highlight this cathedral.
Next, we’ll head to La Rocca, a large rock formation, then descend to Cefal's lively promenade. Following this, we’ll visit the Mandralisca Museum to learn about local history through archaeological findings and art.
In the historic center, we will stop at the Medieval Wash-House, providing insight into past daily life. We will also see the Church of Santa Maria Dell'Odigitria and Porta Pescara, which are among the last medieval fortifications of Cefalù.
Before concluding the tour, you'll have free time for lunch at a local restaurant of your choice.
After 6 hours, we’ll return to Palermo.
