If you're in Palermo and want to explore two of the most beautiful places in Sicily, don't miss this day trip to Erice and Marsala.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at via Volturno 44 in Palermo and board the vehicle for an adventure to Erice and Marsala.

The first stop will be the medieval village of Erice. We will stroll through its cobbled streets and enjoy incredible views from the hill where Erice is located. There are panoramic points to see the Egadi Islands and the city of Trapani.

In Erice, we'll have a chance to sample a Sicilian granita, a type of sorbet typical of the island.

Next, we will continue to Marsala, known for its sweet wine and salt pans. The drive through this area features windmills and salt basins still in use today. This 30-kilometre (18-mile) stretch of road is recognized as one of the most scenic routes in Italy.

In Marsala, we will have time for a typical Sicilian lunch and wine tasting, as well as the opportunity to taste olive oil.

After 9 hours in total, we'll return to Palermo.
