On this day trip to Mazara del Vallo from Palermo, we will explore a city that exemplifies the fusion of Mediterranean cultures and visit one of Sicily's most beautiful ports.

Tour Details

We will meet at Via dei Benedettini in Palermo at the scheduled time. The journey to Mazara del Vallo will take approximately 1.5 hours, during which you will learn about the city’s rich history and culture.

Upon arrival in the city center, we will walk to Piazza della Repubblica to view the Cathedral of St. Salvatore, acknowledging its external Norman architectural features and then visiting the interior to appreciate its frescoes and artworks.

Next, we will walk along the Lungomare Giuseppe Mazzini to enjoy the maritime scenery before visiting the Museum of the Dancing Satyr, which houses the famous statue. We will then explore the Arab quarter of the Casbah, navigating through its narrow streets. Following this, you will have 1.5 hours of free time for lunch and exploration, with recommendations to try the local fish couscous.

After free time, we will reconvene at Piazza della Repubblica for the shuttle return to Palermo, completing a total of 7 hours for the tour.
