Royal Palace + Palatine Chapel Tour

Meet us at the Piazza del Parlamento to start our guided tour of the Royal Palace of the Normans and the Palatine Chapel of Palermo. Our first stop is the Palazzo dei Normanni, dating back to the 12th century, which served as the official residence for the kings of Sicily. During the visit, we'll discuss the different monarchs and reforms made during Spanish rule.

As we explore the halls of the Royal Palace, we will share fascinating facts about this site. The highlight of the tour is entering the Palatine Chapel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its Arab-Norman art. The sanctuary's interior is adorned with numerous golden mosaics depicting various religious scenes and figures. Remember to bring your camera for photos during the tour.

After 1.5 hours, we will return to the starting point, concluding our tour.

Important

This tour emphasizes the visit to the Palatine Chapel, part of the Norman Palace. The second part of the tour takes place in other areas of the Palace, which may vary depending on the ordinary and extraordinary activities of the Sicilian Parliament and its tourist agenda.
