Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of the Chiesa di San Giuseppe Cafasso to begin this tour of the central churches in Sicily's vibrant capital.

Our tour will start at the heart of the Arab-Norman Palermo, with a visit to the Cathedral's complex, where we will explore its history. We'll then head to its walkway for one of the best scenic views of the city, showcasing churches, theatres, villas, the Royal Palace of Palermo, and the Cala di Palermo port.

Continuing, we'll walk to the Church of San Giuseppe Cafasso and climb to the top of its monumental bell tower. Here, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the San Giovanni degli Eremiti Church, Mount Pellegrino, Piazza Indipendenza Square, and more.

Our final stop will be at the Baroque Church of Carmine Maggiore, where you'll see art by Giacomo Serpotta, Antonello and Domenico Gagini, and Pietro Novelli. We will also visit the church of the Carmine Maggiore and view the historical Ballarò Market from the bell tower.

We will conclude our church tour after a total duration of 3 hours.
