Cathedral of the Sea, Cathedral of Light, Cathedral of Space... on this guided tour you'll discover why the Santa María de Palma de Mallorca Cathedral has so many names. Has that sparked your curiosity?
Description
La Seu dominates the urban silhouette of Palma; it appears as a boat moored and overlooking the sea. The tour starts at the main entrance to the Cathedral, located next to the Almudaina Palace, where we will begin our guided tour of the island's most impressive architectural work.
The Cathedral features the world's largest rose window in a Gothic cathedral, a major tourist attraction and a popular photograph spot. During the tour, we will explore the secrets and legends hidden within the cathedral's golden walls while admiring its geometric decorations.
We will also discuss the contributions of architects like Guillem Sagrera and the noted Antonio Gaudí, alongside works by local artist Miquel Barceló.
The guided tour will last one hour and 45 minutes and will conclude following our sightseeing experience.
