Explore one of the most charming locations along the Costa Brava with our complimentary guided walk through Pals. Prepare to step back into the Middle Ages!
Tour Overview
Our journey commences at the Ca la Pruna Cultural Center, where we will gather at the specified time for this complimentary exploration of Pals, renowned as one of the most picturesque villages on the Costa Brava.
Initially, we will traverse the Calle Mayor and Plaza Mayor, leading us to the Church of Sant Pere. Here, in front of this magnificent Romanesque structure, we will delve into its history, including the fascinating fact that its stones were sourced from the local castle.
Our next stop will be the Tower of the Hours, the sole remnant of the 11th-century fortress that was razed in the 15th century. Following this, we will ascend to one of the town's highest vantage points: the Josep Pla viewpoint.
At this viewpoint, we will be treated to breathtaking panoramas of the Baix Empordà area and the distant Pyrenees. After capturing the stunning scenery, we will proceed to the Paseo Archaeological, a walkway that showcases the well-preserved fragments of the medieval fortifications.
After a duration of 1.5 hours, we will conclude our tour back at our starting location.
