This whirling dervish show offers insight into Turkey's cultural heritage. The Dervish dance, performed by men dressed in white, is a traditional ceremony of the Order of Mevlevi, a prominent Sufi group. The dance symbolizes the individual's spiritual journey towards Allah.
The Whirling Dervish dance is over 700 years old. Participants spin in circles to achieve ecstasy, accompanied by specific musical sounds.
