Embark on a tour that will take you to the most beautiful villages of Lake Atitlan from Panajachel. We'll sail past volcanoes and discover the Mayan culture of the locals.

Description

At the indicated time, meet at the door of Porta Hotel del Lago de Panajachel. We will head to the pier to board a boat to Lake Atitlan.

The tour will begin as we cross the lake and explore the Mayan villages along its shores, including views of Tolimán, Atitlán, and San Pedro volcanoes.

We will arrive at San Juan La Laguna, known for its Mayan roots. A walk through its narrow streets will lead us to Mayan women artisans, where we will learn about natural dyeing and chocolate production.

The next stop will be San Pedro La Laguna, where we will observe the blend of the hippie community and Mayan population.

Subsequently, we will proceed to Santiago Atitlán, featuring a local market and notable Mayan culture. We will visit its square and church and conclude with a meal at a local restaurant offering authentic Guatemalan dishes.

Afterward, we will return to the boat to cross the lake back to Panajachel, concluding the excursion after approximately 6 to 7 hours.
