Emberá Indigenous Village Day Trip

After picking you up from your hotel in Panama City, we'll travel for an hour toward the Chagres River. Upon arrival at the port of Corotú, we'll board a traditional canoe for a ride along the river.

Cruising along the river, we'll enjoy a natural environment of great beauty until we reach a waterfall called the Quebrada Bonita, in the middle of the jungle.

The tour will then continue with a visit to a community of Emberá Indigenous Peoples, where we'll have the opportunity to learn about the culture of these people, who moved from their ancestral lands in Colombia in the 18th century.

The Emberá will welcome us with a traditional dance, after which members of the community will share information about their culture, education, and artisanry. After this, we'll enjoy a lunch including tilapia, patacones, and fruit.

After lunch, we'll watch another dance performance - participation is welcome. Before returning to your hotel, you'll also have the chance to purchase local artisan goods as souvenirs.
