Explore the Panama Canal and Monkey Island—a tour featuring a significant engineering marvel and playful primates, blending nature and history in a single day.

Description

Pickup will be from your Panama City hotel at the designated time, starting our journey by minibus to the Miraflores Visitor Center. Here, you'll explore the history of the Panama Canal's construction phases from the early 1900s.

At the Miraflores Visitor Center, multiple panoramic terraces offer views of ships passing through the canal locks. After this, we'll return to the minibus and continue alongside the Miraflores and Pedro Miguel locks to the town of Gamboa, near the Chagres River. From Gamboa, we'll embark on a boat to sail across Gatun Lake, once the largest artificial lake in the world.

During the boat ride, observe large vessels navigating the lake surrounded by the Panamanian jungle. Our next stop is Monkey Island, where we will search for various monkey species and potentially spot sloths, toucans, turtles, and alligators, enriching the adventure.

After exploring Monkey Island, we’ll return to the mainland, conclude our six-hour excursion, and transport you back to your hotel.
