Panama City Tour + Panama Viejo

Pickup from your hotel in Panama City is at 8 am to head toward Panama Viejo, where we will visit the ruins of the first Spanish city in the country.

Our first stop is at the cathedral, where we will climb the tower for views of the colonial city and modern areas. Then, we'll explore the wells and rural houses to learn about local life in colonial times. Following the path of pirate Henry Morgan, we will cross the Slaughterhouse Bridge to the Fort of the Nativity, the city's main defense from the west.

We will visit the church and convent of the Immaculate Conception, and you can opt to learn more about Panama Viejo at the museum in the Plaza Mayor before proceeding to the oldest part of Panama City.

Established by the Spanish in 1673, the old town is a World Heritage Site. Our tour includes a visit to the first church built by the Spanish, followed by visits to the churches of La Merced, San José, and San Francisco de Asís.

We will experience local life by walking through squares like Francia, Herrera, or Bolivar. The tour concludes with a visit to the Panama Interoceanic Canal Museum before returning to your hotel, approximately 6 hours after pickup.
