Travel back to colonial times on this tour! We'll explore the ruins of Panama Viejo and the old town of Panama City.

Panama City Tour + Panama Viejo

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Panama City at 8 am and set off toward Panama Viejo, where we will visit the ruins of the first Spanish city founded in the country.

The first stop will be at the cathedral, where we will climb the tower for views of the colonial city and the modern area of the capital. Next, we will visit the wells and rural houses to learn about local life during colonial times. We will follow the path of the pirate Henry Morgan across the Slaughterhouse Bridge to the Fort of the Nativity, the city's main defense from the west.

We will also stop at the church and convent of the Immaculate Conception. An opportunity to visit the museum in Plaza Mayor will be available before heading to the oldest part of Panama City.

Constructed by the Spanish in 1673, Panama City's old town is a World Heritage Site. We will start this segment at the cathedral, the first church built by the Spanish, and then visit the churches of La Merced, San José, and San Francisco de Asís.

We will stroll through pleasant squares like Francia, Herrera, or Bolivar. The tour concludes at the Panama Interoceanic Canal Museum, learning about this engineering marvel before returning to the hotels, finishing the tour 6 hours after pickup.
