Travel back to colonial times on this tour! We'll spend a day exploring the ruins of Panama Viejo and the old town of Panama City.

Panama City Tour + Panama Viejo

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Panama City at 8 am and set off toward Panama Viejo, the site of the first Spanish city in the country.

Our first stop will be at the cathedral, where we'll climb the tower for views of the colonial city and the modern capital area.

Next, we'll visit the wells and rural houses that illustrate colonial life. We'll follow in the footsteps of the pirate Henry Morgan across the Slaughterhouse Bridge to the Fort of the Nativity, the main defense from the west.

We'll also stop at the church and convent of the Immaculate Conception. If interested, you can visit the museum in the Plaza Mayor to learn more about Panama Viejo before heading to the oldest part of Panama City.

Built by the Spanish in 1673, Panama City's old town is recognized as a World Heritage Site. We'll begin this tour with a stop at the cathedral, the first church built by the Spanish. We will also visit the churches of La Merced, San José, and San Francisco de Asís.

We'll walk through areas like Francia, Herrera, or Bolivar. At the end of the day, we'll visit the Panama Interoceanic Canal Museum to learn about this remarkable engineering feat.

Finally, we'll return to the hotels, concluding the tour 6 hours after pickup.
