Day Trip to Chocolate Hills

Embark on an enchanting day trip to the Chocolate Hills in Bohol, where you will explore one of the island's most striking and picturesque terrains. As you journey through this magical landscape, you will visit a salt factory, encounter charming tarsiers, and experience paddle surfing amid breathtaking vistas.

Tour Overview

Your adventure will begin at the Abraham Bohol Resort, from where we will travel to the renowned Chocolate Hills. Are you prepared to witness a one-of-a-kind formation comprising over 1,200 hills? It's going to be remarkable!

The first highlight will be a visit to a salt factory, where you will uncover the art of Asin Tibouk production, an age-old technique that has been handed down through generations. This stop offers insights into the production processes and the cultural importance of this unique local product.

Following that, we’ll arrive at the famous Chocolate Hills, a collection of 1,268 hills that transform in color throughout the year. Here, you'll have the chance to take in stunning panoramas from a vantage point. Don’t forget your camera! For those seeking a thrill, you can opt for a 30-minute quad tour to experience the hills from an exhilarating angle.

Next, we will journey to the Bilar Man-Made Forest, a striking stretch of road lined with towering mahogany trees that extends more than 2 kilometers!

Our itinerary will then take us to the celebrated Bohol Tarsier Conservation Area, where you will have the opportunity to observe these delightful and inquisitive creatures. Did you know tarsiers are the smallest primates on Earth? You’ll discover their behavioral traits, significance in the local ecosystem, and the conservation efforts in place to protect them.

After exploring this sanctuary, you will have a tranquil break on the Loboc River, where you can indulge in paddle surfing. Navigate the peaceful waters, enveloped by vibrant tropical flora, and savor the serenity and splendor of this setting. Additionally, you will have some free time to enjoy lunch in the vicinity.

Your adventure will conclude with a brief visit to the historic Baclayon Church, one of the oldest churches in The Philippines, showcasing a fine example of Spanish colonial architecture.

After approximately 9 and a half hours, we will wrap up our day trip to the Chocolate Hills and return to our starting location in Bohol.
