Pantelleria Archaeological Tour

This archaeological tour of Pantelleria explores the island's history from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages.

We will meet at Via Borgo Italia to begin the tour. Our first destinations will be the huts of the village of Mursia and the necropolis of Sesi, where we will learn about the early settlers of the island during the Bronze Age.

The tour will cover the history of Cossyra, Pantelleria's ancient name, including its rise to prominence in the 13th century BC and its eventual decline.

The final stop will be at Pantelleria Castle, focusing on the history of the island's battles between Arabs and Christians.

The total duration of the tour is four hours.
