This private archaeological tour of Pantelleria covers various historical periods of the Sicilian island, from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages.

Tour Details

At the appointed time, we will meet at Via Borgo Italia to start the tour of Pantelleria's past. The first visit will be to the huts of the village of Mursia and the necropolis of Sesi, where we will learn about the first settlers during the Bronze Age.

We will explore the history of Cossyra, the ancient name of Pantelleria, examining its rise and decline, noting its strategic location which made it a capital in the 13th century BC.

The tour will conclude at Pantelleria Castle, where we will review the island's historical battles between Arabs and Christians.

The tour lasts four hours.
