The Zagorochoria region features springs and mountainous landscapes, best experienced while abseiling down the Nefeli gorge.

Abseiling in Nefeli Gorge

We will meet at 10 am at the parking lot on the Epar.Od. Kalpakiou-Papigkou road to head towards the Nefeli Gorge.

The gorge is situated in the region of Zagorochoria, known for its villages, monasteries, and stone bridges. Streams from the peaks of Astraka and Tsouka flow through the gorge year-round, enhancing the landscape.

The activity starts with a 15-minute walk to observe the native vegetation and wildlife. At the trail's end, we will encounter captivating waterfalls and natural slides, with some obstacles reaching 24 meters (82 feet) in height.

To exit the gorge, we will walk another 45 minutes through its rocky walls.

We plan to return to the starting point by around 3 pm.
