Throughout our time together, you'll learn about the origins of cachaça—from the introduction of sugar cane to Brazil to its intricate production methods, along with its historical ties to Africa. Interestingly, the first cachaça produced gained such notoriety for its superior quality that it quickly became a significant product for the nation. You'll uncover this and much more as we proceed through the tour.

Our itinerary includes visits to five cachaça establishments in Paraty: Armazém da Cachaça, Cachaçaria Cana Caiana, Alambique Antônio Mello, Empório da Cachaça, and Escritório da Cachaça. Here, you will have the chance to taste an array of cachaça and liqueurs, including the renowned Jorge Amado cocktail, cherished as the favorite beverage in Brazilian Venice.
