Description

At the scheduled time, we will meet in front of the Matriz Church to start the cachaça tour of Paraty. This tour combines history with tasting sessions.

During the tour, you will learn about the history behind cachaça, from the arrival of sugar cane in Brazil to the production process, along with its connections with Africa. Discover how it became one of Brazil's most significant products.

We will visit 5 cachaça bars in Paraty: Armazém da Cachaça, Cachaçaria Cana Caiana, Alambique Antônio Mello, Empório da Cachaça, and Escritório da Cachaça. At these venues, you will taste different types of cachaça and liqueurs and enjoy the Jorge Amado cocktail, a popular drink in Brazilian Venice.

Paraty is also renowned for its food scene; we will provide recommendations for various restaurants throughout the tour.

We will conclude our experience at the Cachaça Office after approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes to 2 hours together.
