Description
Located near the Seine, the musée houses an important anthological collection. The building, designed by Jean Nouvel, includes a garden with over 150 botanical species. Your ticket grants access to both the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions related to the art, culture, and traditions of civilisations from Africa, America, Asia, and Oceania.
The African continent rooms feature archaeological pieces from Mali, Benin, Nigeria, and Congo, along with masks from Cameroon and Ethiopia. In the Americas, you’ll find figures from Mayan and Aztec civilisations, as well as clothing from North America and the Caribbean. The Asian rooms showcase cultures from India, China, Japan, and more, while the Oceania area focuses on art from Australia, New Zealand, and other island nations.
