With this ticket to the Musée du quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, you'll visit one of the most significant anthropological collections of non-Western art in Paris and discover the great civilisations of the world.

Description

Located on the banks of the Seine, near the Eiffel Tower, the museum hosts an important anthropological collection. The building, designed by architect Jean Nouvel, features a garden with over 150 botanical species. Your ticket grants you access to both the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions related to the art, culture, and history of great civilisations from Africa, America, Asia, and Oceania.

The African section includes archaeological pieces from Mali, Benin, and Nigeria, focusing on Congo artifacts, masks, and funerary objects. In the Americas, you will find figures and sculptures from pre-Columbian civilisations like the Mayans and Aztecs, alongside clothing from North American native peoples. The Asian rooms cover cultures from India, China, and Japan, while the Oceania section features art from Australia, New Zealand, and island countries of Melanesia and Polynesia.

Temporary exhibitions

Your ticket also grants access to temporary exhibitions, including:

April 3 to September 24, 2024: Mexica - Des dons et des dieux au Templo Mayor. Reservation in advance is required.Until October 13, 2024: Taïnos et Kalinagos des Antilles. Booking is also necessary.
