On this tour of the Ile de la Cité, we'll walk through the oldest part of Paris, where we'll see Notre-Dame Cathedral from the outside and visit the complete interior of the beautiful church of Saint-Severin.

Tour Details

We'll meet at 7 Rue Lagrange at the indicated time, then walk along the banks of the River Seine to the Ile de la Cité, home to Notre-Dame Cathedral.

While we won't enter the interior of the cathedral, we will view the façade and discuss the fire that struck Notre-Dame on 15 April 2019.

Afterwards, a walking tour of the Ile de la Cité will reveal its rich history as the birthplace of Paris, showcasing the exteriors of iconic buildings like Sainte Chapelle and the Conciergerie fortress.

Our tour will proceed to the Latin Quarter to visit the church of Saint Séverin, often referred to as "Notre Dame's little sister," where we will explore its architecture, stained glass windows, and artworks. This guided tour will conclude outside the church after 2 hours.
