Description
We'll meet at Piazza Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa to provide bicycles for an eco-friendly journey to explore Parma's cityscape and cuisine.
Parma is known for its Parmesan cheese and ham, alongside its rich historical and artistic heritage. On our bike ride, we'll see palaces, churches, and theaters while enjoying Parma's gastronomy.
We will pass by the Palazzo Ducale, a 16th-century masterpiece by architect Jacopo Vignola. Notable landmarks include the Palazzo della Pilotta and the Teatro Farnese.
We'll stop at the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and its baptistery before tasting prosciutto from Parma and Parmesan cheese, complemented by a glass of wine. This tour highlights why Parma was named the Creative City of Gastronomy in 2015.
The tour concludes at a local pastry shop, featuring the Duchess Cake, a blend of hazelnuts, custard, liqueur, and chocolate ganache.
We will return to the starting point, delivering our bikes after 3 and a half hours.
