Parmesan Cheese & Prosciutto Tour

On this tour, you'll learn the secrets of Parmesan cheese and prosciutto, two of Parma's most important food products.

Parmesan cheese & Italian ham experience

We'll pick you up at your selected meeting point and start a tour focusing on two of the region's most important gastronomic products: Parma ham and Parmesan cheese.

The tour begins at a factory producing Parmigiano Reggiano. An expert will explain the production process as we explore the different spaces involved in creating this local delicacy.

After the tour, we’ll sample various types of Parmesan cheese paired with local wine.

Next, we’ll visit a factory that produces Parma ham, or prosciutto. We'll examine the salting and refrigeration rooms to understand what makes this ham a highly prized product in Italy.

We will taste various types of ham accompanied by Malvasia wine, a sweet wine variety.

The tour will conclude with our return to the meeting points in Parma.
