Canoeing down the River Sella is a popular activity in Spain, allowing participants to sail at their own pace around the scenic Asturian Principalities.
Description
We will meet at the designated time at the Plaza Venancio Pando de Arriondas and proceed to the River Sella. A 15-minute briefing by the guide will precede the canoeing. This excursion lasts 4 hours, during which we will paddle downstream, exploring the landscape between Arriondas and Llovio and visiting nearby towns. A picnic lunch is available, including a sandwich, a candy bar, fruit, and a bottle of water. After completing the descent, we will return to the meeting point.
Schedule
The descent is self-directed, occurring every 15 minutes from 11 am to 6 pm.
Routes
You can choose from the following routes, all departing from Arriondas:
7km (4.3 miles): 1 to 2 hours, reaching Nuevo Tora.12km (7.4 miles): 2.5 to 3 hours, passing Toraño to Llordón.15km (9.3 miles): 4.5 hours, from Arriondas and Toraño to Llovio, near the Sella dock.
Requirements
Participants must be at least 6 years old and 120cm in height (3'11").
