Canoeing down the River Sella is a popular activity in Spain, allowing participants to enjoy the beauty of the Asturian Principalities at their own pace.
Description
Participants will gather at the Plaza Venancio Pando de Arriondas and proceed to the River Sella's banks. A 15-minute briefing from a guide will precede the canoeing experience. The tour lasts 4 hours and includes a paddle downstream to explore the landscapes between Arriondas and Llovio, as well as nearby towns. A picnic lunch may be provided, consisting of a sandwich, candy bar, fruit, and water.
After completing the descent, participants will return to the meeting point.
Schedule
The descent takes place every 15 minutes between 11 am and 6 pm.
Routes
Participants can select from the following routes, all departing from Arriondas:
7km (4.3 miles) Route: 1 to 2 hours, reaching the Nuevo Tora denomination.12km (7.4 miles) Route: 2.5 to 3 hours, passing Toraño and arriving at Llordón.15km (9.3 miles) Route: 4.5 hours, traveling from Arriondas and Toraño to Llovio, near the Sella dock on the Ribadesella estuary.
Requirements
The minimum age for participation is 6 years, and participants must be at least 120cm in height (3'11").
