Arriondas River Sella Canoeing

Canoeing down the River Sella is a popular activity in Spain, allowing you to explore the beautiful Asturian Principalities at your own pace.

Description

Participants will meet at the Plaza Venancio Pando de Arriondas and head to the banks of the River Sella. A 15-minute briefing from the guide will precede the canoeing activity. During this 4-hour excursion, paddling downstream, you will discover the landscape between Arriondas and Llovio along with nearby towns. A picnic lunch comprising a sandwich, candy bar, fruit, and water can be included if desired. After completing the descent, you will return to the meeting point.

Schedule

The descent can be done independently every 15 minutes between 11 am and 6 pm.

Options

Upon reservation, you can select from the following options:

Canoeing without picnicCanoeing with normal picnic: includes sausage sandwich, apple, water, and chocolate neopolitan.Canoeing with Asturian picnic: includes chorizo bun, empanada, water, apple, and chocolate neopolitan.

Routes

You can choose one of the following routes, all departing from Arriondas:

7 km (4.3 miles) Route: takes 1 to 2 hours, reaching Nuevo Tora.12 km (7.4 miles) Route: takes 2.5 to 3 hours, passing by Toraño and arriving at Llordón.15 km (9.3 miles) Route: lasting 4.5 hours, passing Arriondas and Toraño to Llovio, near the Sella dock on the Ribadesella estuary.

Requirements

The minimum age for participation is 6 years, and participants must be at least 120 cm in height (3'11").
