Canoeing down the River Sella is a highly sought-after activity in Spain. You will navigate at your own pace in one of the most scenic areas of Asturias.
Description
Participants will meet at the scheduled time at the Plaza Venancio Pando de Arriondas. After a 15-minute briefing, they will embark on the canoes. This 4-hour excursion allows paddling downstream to explore the landscape between Arriondas and Llovio, including nearby towns. A picnic lunch is available, consisting of a sandwich, a candy bar, a fruit, and a bottle of water. After completing the descent, participants will return to the meeting point.
Schedule
The descent occurs every 15 minutes, between 11 am and 6 pm.
Routes
Participants can select from the following routes, all starting from Arriondas:
7km (4.3 miles) Route: takes 1 to 2 hours, leading to the Nuevo Tora denomination.12km (7.4 miles) Route: lasts 2.5 to 3 hours, paddling past Toraño to Llordón.15km (9.3 miles) Route: lasts 4.5 hours, passing through Arriondas and Toraño until reaching Llovio, near the Sella dock at the Ribadesella estuary.
Requirements
The minimum age for participation is 6 years, and participants must be at least 120cm in height (3'11").
