Canoeing on the Sella River stands out as one of the most sought-after activities across Spain. Navigate at your own leisure through one of the most stunning regions of Asturias. What are you waiting for?
Description
We will convene at the designated time and embark from the Venancio Pando Square in Arriondas, making our way to the edge of the River Sella. Upon arrival, a brief introduction lasting approximately 15 minutes will be provided by your guide, followed by our entry into the canoes. Are you ready to discover the most famous canoeing path in Spain?
This 4-hour journey will take you along your selected route as we paddle downstream to explore the scenic views between Arriondas and Llovio as well as the surrounding communities. If desired, we can enjoy a tasty picnic featuring a sandwich, a snack, a piece of fruit, and a bottle of water.
After completing our descent on the River Sella, we will return to our initial meeting point.
Schedule
The descent occurs independently every 15 minutes, available from 11 am to 6 pm.
Options
When booking, you can select one of the following options:
Canoeing without picnicCanoeing with standard picnic: includes a sausage sandwich, an apple, water, and a chocolate neapolitan.Canoeing with Asturian picnic: includes a chorizo bun, pie, water, an apple, and a chocolate neapolitan.
Routes
Depending on your fitness level and preferences, you can opt for one of the following routes, all departing from Arriondas:
7 km (4.3 miles) Route: taking between 1 and 2 hours, this route will lead you to the Nuevo Tora denomination.12 km (7.4 miles) Route: taking approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, you will paddle down the Sella River passing through Toraño and arriving at Llordón.15 km (9.3 miles) Route: spanning 4.5 hours, this route will take you past Arriondas and Toraño, concluding near Llovio close to the Sella dock at the Ribadesella estuary.
Requirements
To participate in this activity, the minimum age is set at 6 years, and individuals must also be at least 120 cm tall (3'11").
