Our journey begins at the Plaza de Nariño at the arranged hour. From there, we'll travel along the road leading to the department of Putumayo, where La Cocha Lagoon awaits us. After roughly 40 minutes on the road, we will reach this magnificent site. Are you aware that it ranks as the second-largest lake in Colombia, surpassed only by Lake Tota?

As we explore this area of stunning natural beauty, we'll delve into the glacial history that gave rise to this impressive lake. Our walk will take us through the village of El Puerto, where charming Swiss-style wooden homes surround the lake, creating a picturesque landscape.

Next, we will visit a local farm, where the resident family will host us on a guided tour of their self-sufficient 'hacienda'. This experience includes a glimpse of their gardens, organic crops, and guinea pig farms. Following the tour, we will savor a delightful traditional lunch prepared with fresh produce sourced directly from the farm.

Post-lunch, we'll head back to La Cocha Lagoon to board a speedboat for an exciting tour of this remarkable water reserve. Our journey will take us to the sanctuary of La Corota Island, situated in the center of La Cocha. Here, we'll disembark for a walk to discover the local wildlife and hear intriguing legends related to the area.

As our day draws to a close, we will return to Pasto to enjoy a farewell snack. The trip will conclude at the initial meeting point after a fulfilling 10 hours.
