La Cocha Lagoon & Santa Lucía Wetlands Excursion

At 7:30 am, we'll meet at Plaza de Nariño and proceed to the department of Putumayo, where the first natural wonder is located.

After a 40-minute drive, we'll arrive at La Cocha Lagoon, the second-largest freshwater reserve in Colombia. We will hike through the town of El Puerto on the shores of the lake, seeing wooden Swiss-inspired houses.

After the hike, a boat ride on La Cocha Lagoon will take us to the Santa Lucía wetlands, a Ramsar Convention protected area. We'll take another walk through a valley of frailejones, endemic plants to this ecosystem.

Halfway, we will stop at a local farm for lunch prepared with organic products from the farm. Then, we will visit the community of Torres de Paz to learn about the construction of this historic monument, a symbol of harmony.

We will return to Pasto, arriving at the departure point by 7:30 pm.
