We'll meet at 2 pm at your hotel to begin a private tour of Pasto, the 'Surprise City' of Colombia. The tour includes a brief introduction about the city followed by a walk through the historic centre, focusing on its typical architecture and churches known for their significance.

Our first stop will be the Cathedral of Pasto, inaugurated in the early 1920s, which replaced a church demolished in the late 19th century. Inside, we will see relics from the original church of San Francisco, including a wooden cross and a carving of Jesus crucified.

Next, we'll visit the church of San Juan Bautista, the city’s first cathedral, followed by the Cristo Rey church and the Sanctuary of La Merced, Pasto's patron saint.

We'll explore the historical and cultural aspects of the city at the Plaza de Nariño and the Carnival Museum, where you can learn about the Carnival of Blacks and Whites, Pasto's largest folkloric festival.

Additionally, we'll visit a varnish workshop to learn about this handicraft, which is recognized as Cultural Heritage of Colombia. The tour will conclude with a demonstration of how typical paila ice cream is made. We will finish the tour at your hotel in Pasto at 6 pm.
