Visit to an Inga Community in Sibundoy
We'll meet at 7:30 am next to the statue of Antonio Nariño and set off for an exciting day trip to Sibundoy.
As we travel away from the Amazon rainforest, we'll pass through Andean mountain ranges, arriving at the Sibundoy Valley in the Putumayo region. We will visit an Inga or Camsá community, an indigenous ethnic group characteristic of this area.
The tribe members will teach us about their culture and traditions, showcasing their village and dwellings. We will learn about traditional medicine, knowledge passed down through generations.
We'll explore the basic principles of the Andean worldview from the Ingas and take a tour of chagras, small indigenous cultivation plots.
At noon, we'll enjoy a healthy lunch made from local products and crops. In the afternoon, we will attend a harmonizing spiritual ceremony, enhancing our experience.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point in Pasto, arriving around 5:30 pm.
