Join us on this day trip to immerse yourself in authentic Colombian indigenous culture. We will spend the day getting to know the Inga community in Sibundoy.
Visit to an Inga Community in Sibundoy
We'll meet at 7:30 am next to the statue of Antonio Nariño and set off for Sibundoy. As we travel from the Amazon rainforest through the Andean mountain ranges, we will reach the Sibundoy Valley in the Putumayo region.
Upon arrival, we will visit the Inga or Camsá community, an indigenous group characteristic of this area. Community members will teach us about their culture and traditions, showcasing their village and dwellings. We will learn about traditional medicine, knowledge passed down through generations.
We will discover the basic principles of the Andean worldview from the Ingas and tour the chagras, small indigenous cultivation plots. At noon, we will enjoy a healthy lunch made from local products and crops, followed by a harmonizing spiritual ceremony in the afternoon, which aims to leave participants feeling renewed.
Finally, we will return to the meeting point in Pasto, where we will arrive around 5:30 pm.
