Temples, throne halls and the Emerald Buddha: immerse yourself in the cultural heritage of Bangkok's Grand Palace on this guided English-language tour.
Bangkok Grand Palace Guided Tour Itinerary
The Grand Palace is Bangkok's most important monument, built in the late 18th century as a royal residence. The intricately designed buildings, temples, gardens, and courtyards of the palace complex are still used for ceremonies and state functions today.
During the tour, you will be picked up from your hotel in central Bangkok and taken to the Grand Palace. Discover the myths and legends surrounding the site while admiring the architecture of the complex, including the multi-tiered roofs of the many Phra Thinang (Throne Halls).
The palace complex houses several temples, including Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), which is the most sacred temple in Thailand, home to a jade figurine of Buddha clothed in gold. Learn about the significance of the 26-inch (66 cm) statue.
Your guided tour will also feature other significant buildings, including the Coronation Throne Hall, the Royal Reception Hall, the Royal Funeral Hall, the Golden Chedi, and the Royal Pantheon.
At the end of your tour, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Bangkok.

There is a strict dress code for entering the Grand Palace:
