Stunning waterfalls and diverse wildlife: break away from Bangkok and dedicate a day to exploring nature in one of Thailand's expansive national parks on this excursion to Khao Yai.
Khao Yai Excursion
At the designated hour, we will collect you from your accommodation in Bangkok for a scenic three-hour journey towards the northeast. Get ready for an exciting jungle exploration!
On our route, we will pause briefly at The Birder's Lodge, a perfect spot to pick up a coffee before proceeding to Khao Yai National Park, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Upon arrival, we will embark on a hiking adventure. Throughout the trek, we will appreciate the unique local vegetation and, if we are fortunate, spot some of the wildlife residing in the park such as elephants, gibbons, or deer. After approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on our group's pace, we will reach the Haew Suwat waterfall, the park's largest waterfall. This stunning setting may look familiar if you’ve seen the film The Beach, as it features prominently in one of its scenes.
You will have around 30 minutes to enjoy some lunch here. There is a cafeteria and a small restaurant located near the waterfall—it's your choice!
After recharging, we will continue our journey to the Haew Narok waterfall, celebrated as one of the most scenic spots in the park. We will take a moment to relax and appreciate the beauty of the falls before making our way back.
At the conclusion of our adventure, we will head back to Bangkok and conclude the day at the MBK Shopping Centre after an 11-hour experience.
Alterations to Itinerary
In the months of April and May, visits to Haew Suwat and Haew Narok waterfalls will not be possible due to the low water flow during the dry season.
Instead, following lunch, we will traverse a nature trail winding through the park, enjoying the captivating landscapes around us. The hike will culminate at the Nong Phak Chi Observation Tower, where you can ascend to the top and take in the spectacular panoramic views of the area.
