If you are visiting Pyhä, then do not miss the fantastic Ice Climbing adventure in the Korouoma Canyon. You will ascend through these amazing frozen formations and witness some beautiful unique landscapes.

Ice Climbing in Korouoma Canyon

Participants will be picked up at the scheduled time at their hotel in Pyhä before heading to the Posio Nature Reserve, home to Finland's most beautiful ice falls.

After a two-and-a-half-hour journey, a stop will be made in the Korouoma valley to observe rock fractures that date back millions of years. A walk through the snow will lead to the base of the canyon, where the guide will provide a brief presentation and participants will put on their equipment.

Strapped to the harness, participants will ascend the Korouoma Canyon, scaling the impressive frozen formations as the ground gradually disappears into the distance. At the top, brilliant views of the stunning white landscapes of Lapland will be enjoyed. A barbeque will then be provided to help regain strength for the return journey.

After re-energizing, participants will hike back to the entrance of the reserve and then drive back to Pyhä. The activity concludes with a drop-off at the hotel approximately 11 hours after it began.
