Berlengas Islands & Caves Boat Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Peniche Marina, where we'll start our boat tour to the Berlengas Islands.
We'll set sail for the 30-minute cruise to the archipelago aboard a catamaran, admiring the marine life along the way. The Berlengas Islands have been declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. You'll see incredible underwater plants and wildlife.
Upon reaching Berlenga Grande, we'll transfer to a smaller boat with a glass bottom to visit the natural sea caves. This 30-minute cruise includes stops at the São João Batista Cave, the Blue Grotto, and the Furado Grande, a natural tunnel measuring 70 meters. During the remaining free time, you'll be able to explore the island via various trails.
After approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes of cruising around the Berlengas Islands, we'll return to Peniche Marina to conclude the tour.
Guided Tour of Berlenga Grande
Complete your trip by booking the option with a guided tour of Berlenga Grande. After visiting the caves, you'll enjoy a walking tour of Berlenga Grande. Please note that this walking section of the tour is difficult.
We'll spend 50 minutes visiting key sites on the island, including the fishermen's houses, the lighthouse, and the historic São João Baptista Fort, which you can enter for 1EUR per person.
