Castellón la Plana Day Trip
The tour departs at 8:30 am from the Peñíscola Tourist Office, with a minibus ride to Castellón de la Plana lasting just over an hour.
The first stop will be El Grao de Castellón, where participants will explore the city's maritime traditions, enjoying views of the lighthouse, fishing port, and marina, framed by modernist houses.
Next, the group will visit the historic centre of Castellón de la Plana, including the Museum of Fine Arts, which features Valencian ceramics, oil paintings from Zurbarán's workshop, and sculptures.
Following the museum visit, attendees will explore the Monday market, boasting over 300 open-air stalls.
The tour will highlight the city's monumental legacy, including the Cathedral of Santa María la Mayor, which has been affected by fire and the Spanish Civil War. Adjacent to the church is the El Fadrí bell tower, standing nearly 60 metres high.
The day trip concludes back at Peñíscola at 2 pm.
