Castellón la Plana Day Trip

We will depart at 8:30 am from the Peñíscola Tourist Office and travel by minibus to Castellón de la Plana, with a journey time of just over one hour.

Our first stop will be at El Grao de Castellón, where we will explore the city's seafaring traditions and enjoy views of the lighthouse, fishing port, and marina, featuring modernist style houses along the coastal district.

Next, we will proceed to the historic centre of Castellón de la Plana and visit the Museum of Fine Arts. This museum includes Valencian ceramics, oil paintings from Zurbarán's workshop, and various sculptures.

Following the museum, we will head to the Monday market, offering over 300 open-air stalls.

The tour will continue with visits to the significant monuments, including the Cathedral of Santa María la Mayor, which has a complex history marked by a fire and the Spanish Civil War. Adjacent to the church is the El Fadrí bell tower, standing nearly 60 meters tall.

The day trip will conclude back at Peñíscola at 2 pm.
