Explore the villages surrounding Peniscola on our Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre Excursion, where you will learn about olive tree cultivation, taste olive oils, and visit the Royal Sanctuary Virgen Fuente de la Salud.

Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre Excursion

At 9:30 am, we will meet in front of the Peniscola Tourist Office and depart for Traiguera via minibus or coach, a journey of approximately 30 minutes.

Our first stop is a visit to a thousand-year-old olive tree farm, where you will learn about tree care, olive harvesting, and the olive oil production process. You will also enjoy a tasting of olive oil paired with local cold meats.

After 1 hour at the olive grove, we will continue to Cervera del Maestre for a guided tour. You will see main monuments such as the Church of the Assumption, the Baroque bell tower, and the old Medieval market. We will also stop outside the 12th-century castle and visit the Oil Mill Visitor Centre.

Next, we will return to Traiguera to visit the Royal Sanctuary Virgen Fuente de la Salud, where we will explore its rooms, including the old pilgrims' hostel and the medieval hermitage, complemented by beautiful frescoes.

The excursion will conclude at 2 pm back at the starting point in Peniscola.
