Did you know that Villafamés is listed as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain? Come to this town in the province of Castellón to discover its monuments and scenery.
Villafamés Guided Tour
At 3 pm, we'll meet outside the Peñíscola Tourist Office to start the trip. We will travel for 50 minutes onboard a minibus to Villafamés.
Upon arrival, we'll begin a guided tour of the historic centre of the village, a Site of Cultural Interest. We'll discuss its strategic location atop a hill and its historical significance.
Highlights include the façade of La Asunción church, traditional stone houses, and the castle from the times of Muslim rule. We will share their history.
Next, we will visit Roca Grossa, a mysterious natural monument where you can make three wishes, though the legend states only one will be granted.
The final stop is the Museum of Contemporary Art of Villafamés in the Batlle Palace, showcasing works from the 1920s to the present.
We will conclude the tour at 8 pm, returning to Peñíscola.
