Villafamés Guided Tour
At 3 pm, we'll meet outside the Peñíscola Tourist Office to start the trip. We will travel for 50 minutes on a minibus to Villafamés.
Upon arrival, we'll begin a guided tour of the historic centre of the village, designated a Site of Cultural Interest. During the walk, we will discuss the town's strategic location and its historical significance.
We will see the façade of the church of La Asunción, the characteristic stone houses, and the castle from the times of Muslim rule. You will learn their history.
Next, we will visit the Roca Grossa, a large stone mass full of mystery. Here, you can make three wishes, although legend states you will receive only one. We will share the legends related to this natural monument during the tour.
The last stop will be the Museum of Contemporary Art of Villafamés, located in the Batlle Palace. Its exhibition rooms feature numerous works of art from the 1920s to present.
We will conclude the tour at 8 pm with our return to Peñíscola.
