Don't leave Pereira without exploring the popular Quindío Botanical Garden. 15 hectares of nature, more than 600 species of plants and the chance to get up close to the native fauna: a family plan in the style of the Colombian coffee region!

After picking you up at your accommodation at the indicated time, we'll set off for the Quindío Botanical Garden, an hour and a quarter from Pereira.

We'll enter the main path, which is two kilometres long, and through it we'll reach the most special places in the garden. We'll enter the Butterfly Farm, where we'll stop to admire how 1,500 butterflies fly over the nectariferous flowers.

We'll continue along the path to find a great diversity of native birds. You can observe them from the three viewing points in the Botanical Garden. The species combine with the vegetation to turn the Quindío Botanical Garden into the heart of the Colombian coffee region.

In the garden, we'll discover the National Collection of Colombian Palms. Of the 255 species that live in Colombia, we'll see 210.

During our walk through the Garden, we can also visit the Ethnobotanical Museum of Palms, the Insect Museum and the Museum of Geology and Soils. We won't leave without discovering the culture of the region in the Museum of the Crossing of the Andes of Quindio.

We'll end the excursion by returning to your hotel after five or six hours of sightseeing.
