Botanical Garden of Quindío Visit
Following a pick-up at your accommodation at the scheduled time, the journey to the Quindío Botanical Garden will take approximately one hour and fifteen minutes from Pereira.
Upon arrival, we will embark on the main path, which is two kilometers long, leading to various highlights within the garden. A visit to the Butterfly Farm is included, where you can observe 1,500 butterflies fluttering among the nectar-rich flowers.
The path also provides opportunities to view native birds from three designated viewing points, enhancing the experience of the lush vegetation characteristic of the Quindío Botanical Garden, the vibrant heart of the Colombian coffee region.
The garden hosts the National Collection of Colombian Palms, featuring 210 of the 255 species found in Colombia, highlighting the prominence of palms in the region.
During the tour, we can also visit the Ethnobotanical Museum of Palms, the Insect Museum, and the Museum of Geology and Soils. Additionally, the excursion includes a cultural immersion at the Museum of the Crossing of the Andes of Quindio.
The visit concludes with a return to your hotel after a total of five to six hours of sightseeing.
